DESCRIPTION:Mirco Mariottini \nAfter graduating in clarinet with honors\, he then dedicated himself to jazz and composition\, partici-pating in various seminars including those organized by I.A.S.J. (International Association of Schools of Jazz) held by Dave Liebman\, the High Professional Qualification Courses – Tuscany Region – at Siena Jazz and later with Steve Lacy and in the field of classical music the Fiesole Specialization Courses. Later he obtained a master’s degree in Jazz at the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence\, always with honors. \nIn his own name he forms the trio that sees Stefano Battaglia on piano and Paolino Dalla Porta on double bass. He has also collaborated with musicians such as: John Taylor\, Glenn Ferris\, Paul McCandless\, Tony Scott\, Sainkho Namtchylak\, William Parker\, James Newton\, Butch Morris\, Sadiq Bey\, Antonello Salis\, Chris Laurence\, Ares Tavolazzi\, Diana Torto\, Riccardo Fassi\, Ettore Fioravanti\, Michele Rabbia\, Goma Parfait Ludovic\, etc. \nHe has played in festivals such as Clusone\, Europa Jazz Festival di Noci\, Palermo\, Barga Jazz\, Fano\, Siena Jazz\, Milan\, Monza\, Fiesole\, Teramo Jazz\, Livorno\, Foggia\, Anfiteatro Jazz di Lucca\, Roccella Jonica\, Mestre\, Firenze Musicus Concentus and Fabbrica Europa\, Rome\, L’Aquila\, Pisa\, Ancona\, Merano\, Venice\, Piacenza\, Cantiere d’Arte di Montepulciano\, Prato Metastasio Jazz and abroad in the USA\, Great Britain\,  Spain\, Greece\, Germany\, Belgium\, Georgia and Turkey. \nEclectic musician and attentive to the many artistic and musical expressions\, he has collaborated in performances in the field of theater\, visual arts and dance (“Soli sulla tenerezza” with Virgilio Sieni\, “Fool Lear” by Alessandro Garzella and “Variazioni per voce e clarinetti da Macbeth” with the actress Francesca Russo and in “Occasioni” with Marco Baliani)\, also creating music for installations of permanent works of art.

She is influenced by both the tonal possibilities in interaction with various melody instruments\, singing and various orchestral ensembles as well as the rich virtuoso repertoire for harpsichord solo\, the chamber music works with obbligato harpsichord and the stylistic various continuo playing. \nHer concert activities include a variety of Performances in numerous cities of Eurasia. As a harpsichordist\, she has worked with numerous Festival for Old and New Music. CD productions and Radio recordings are among her other artistic activities. Ekaterina Likhina has won several prizes in various competitions. She teaches and supervises currently at the Musikschule Landeshauptstadt St. Pölten (Austria).

DESCRIPTION:8th edition of the National ViolaFest – Program:\nProgramma_ViolaFest_Programm \n  \nProf.ssa Dorotea Vismara\nThe 8th edition of the National ViolaFest\, centered on the Theme “The Viola and the violist Today”\, will be held in Bolzano from April 28 to 30\, 2023. A joint project by the “Claudio Monteverdi” Conservatory of Music in Bolzano and the Italian Viola Society\, the event focuses on the new generations of Italian violists and on contemporary trends in viola making. \nThe National ViolaFest will be at the same time a wonderful festival with excellent concerts\, solo performances and chamber music for and with viola proposed by internationally renowned artists\, and a laboratory for the advancement of viola playing in Italy\, through rehearsals\, meetings\, masterclasses and workshops. \nThe previous editions have been hosted by the Conservatories of Livorno\, Florence\, Messina\, Cosenza\, Cremona\, Siena and Bari. \nThe National ViolaFest in Bolzano includes celebrations for the 90th anniversary of the birth of Bruno Giuranna and for the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the Italian Viola Association\, and promotes the theme “north meets south”.  The festival showcases the two main guests Bruno Giuranna\, internationally renowned soloist and Pauline Sachse\, viola Professor at the Musikhochschule Lübeck\, as well as numerous outstanding violists representing the whole country. Viola students from Conservatories from Sicily to the Alpine regions will be featured in concerts and masterclasses. \nOn Thursday April 28\, 2023 at 20.30 a recital by Pauline Sachs performing intriguing and uplifting solo viola music of her own composing is programmed.
