International contest for soloists and chamber music ensembles “Carlo Maria Giulini”
The Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory of Bolzano promotes the second edition of the Carlo Maria Giulini International Competition, chamber section, which will take place in Bolzano, at the Sala Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli of the Conservatory itself, from 1 to 10 OCTOBER 2022.
The Competition pays particular attention to the academic-formative aspect. In addition to cash prizes, the winners will be awarded scholarships and facilitations for attending academic courses at the Conservatory itself.
In the 2022 edition, the call is open to wind instrumentalists (only woodwinds) Soloists and chamber woodwind groups (with the possible presence of horns and / or piano)
CATEGORIES edition 2022
- SOLIST: There will be a single competition for flutes, oboes, clarinets and bassoons: each jury is chaired by the director of the Conservatorio or a person appointed by him. It is composed of international experts in the field.
- CHAMBER MUSIC GROUPS There is a single competition for wind instrumentalists (woodwind computsority with the possible addition of horns and/or piano from Trio to Sextet). Each jury is chaired by the director of the Conservatorio or a person appointed by him. It is composed of international experts in the field.

CONTEST PRIZES

Category Soloists
- Contest winner: 3.500 euro + 1 solo concert
- Second Classified: 1.500 euro.
- Prize “Bolzano City”for the best soloist 1,500 € gross (provided by the city of Bolzano).

- Winning group: 5.000 euro (Winning group of the study scholarship
- Second classified: 2.500 euro.

Exemption from the costs of enrolment and attendance of academic courses in the A.Y. 2022-2023 at the “Monteverdi” Conservatorio of Bolzano.
